It is not possible to retrieve Parallels Plesk Panel admin password. Message that Plesk is not configured is displayed.
# /usr/local/psa/bin/admin --show-password
Plesk is not configured. You should go to the Server Administration Panel and configure it.
Such message can be received after Parallels Plesk Panel installation, if you want to retrieve password, but Parallels Plesk Panel is not configured yet.
After Parallels Plesk Panel installation auto generated password is set for the admin user. It is not possible to retrieve Plesk admin password before the initial configuration is done.
Login into the Control Panel with the root user and its password and perform initial configuration. On the configuration step you can set new password for the admin user.
As workaround you can set desired password for the admin user using the /usr/local/psa/bin/init_conf utility. Then login into the Control Panel with the admin user using new password.
/usr/local/psa/bin/init_conf --set-admin-password -passwd NEW_PASSWORD
This behaviour will be fixed in Parallels Plesk Panel 10.3. It will be possible to retrieve auto generated password for the admin user prior initial configuration.
